Home Furnishing Program

We create homes in Washington, DC using gently used or like-new furniture.

Through our home furnishing program, LightHouse provides and delivers furniture and home goods to families transitioning from homelessness in order to provide these families with a safe, secure and functioning home in which to re-build their lives. Through this program, LightHouse provides stabilization to our most vulnerable neighbors by giving them a place to sleep, eat, and ultimately a true home.

Our home furnishing program clients are referred to us by our 50+ certified nonprofit and government partners, including A Wider Circle, Pathways to Housing, American Red Cross, and DC Department of Human Services. The items we give to clients are acquired from donations made to LightHouse from supporters across the DC metropolitan area.
